Mrs Draper

930 AUD

"Elizabeth toyed with her necklace as if debating whether to strangle someone with it...or rip of off just to watch the pearls scatter elegantly across the meeting room floor. At least that would liven things up.

Behind the winged eyeliner and her carefully demure pose, was a razor-sharp mind that had already filed her devious plan under hobbies, (somewhere between gin martinis and casual arson.) They had many names for Elizabeth, but none captured what she truly was… dangerous."

Bubblegum Beach Babe II

SOLD 930 AUD

What was he doing here? She hadn’t told a soul. And yet - there he was, laughing too loud with someone up the beach. Pamela’s bubble burst with a soft pop, sharp as a gunshot in her ears. The taste of fake strawberry turned bitter on her tongue. Then he looked her way - just a flicker - and that was enough.

She slid on her sunglasses and stood slowly. She’d drive off like she hadn’t noticed. Like her heart wasn’t racing. Like trouble hadn’t just come looking for her in paradise.

Lacies New Chapter

930 aud

The evening air was crisp, carrying the faint scent of smoke and city rain, as Lacie Delaney stepped out of the car and into the pitch-black inky darkness of the night. Her blonde hair shimmered like spun gold against the collar of her fur coat. To any onlookers, she was every bit the picture of old Hollywood glamour, but the shadows in her eyes hinted at something more… Tonight, Lacie wasn’t just stepping into the street; she was stepping into the first chapter of a story that would change everything.

Turning Point

650 aud

As Sofia glanced over her shoulder, a chill ran down her spine. The feeling of being watched grew stronger, the air thick with anticipation.

In the heart of Greece, she was on the brink of uncovering a truth that would forever change her life.

Matoaka

930 aud

Eyes closed, Matoaka rests in a moment of quiet power - the kind that comes after the storm, when you’ve rebuilt yourself from the inside out.

She stands still, remembering every woman who has healed in silence, who has held grace when it would’ve been easier to burn. Now she too has walked through darkness and emerged softer, wiser, stronger.

Matoaka is resilient, radiant and real, a wild bloom rooted in spirit.

The Guardian

930 aud

The Guardian doesn’t speak. She just watches. Green eyes, sharp with memory, with questions, with the weight of knowing too much. Her Kākā rests quietly against her chest - never tethered, just loyal. Their bond is older than language.

The feathered, woven cloak is soft and warm against her skin, shielding her from the rugged New Zealand elements. Huia feathers catch the light, a quiet sign of her mana. She stands still… not in fear, but in discernment. Not everyone is meant to pass… And she’s deciding, right now, if you can be trusted.

About

I’m Kati Garrett Filho, a self-taught artist based on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. I work across two quiet but emotionally resonant practices:

~ hyper-realistic charcoal portraits of women dressed in midcentury elegance

~ detailed paintings of birds perched on midcentury ceramics, rendered on paper or board.

My work is rooted in nostalgia. Whether drawing from a bygone era's poised aesthetic or everyday objects' quiet endurance, I explore the emotional weight that lingers in stillness, memory, and softness. I’m drawn to the slow pace of handcraft, to times when care was etched into the surface of things.

Each of my portraits evolve through delicate, deliberate strokes — charcoal gently sculpted into realism, revealing not just a likeness, but mood, atmosphere, and story. Often I write short narrative vignettes to accompany each figure - like fragments from a novel - inviting the viewer into an imagined world.

The birds and pots are intricate works painted with great detail to capture reflections and mood.

For me, art is a way to hold space for beauty, stillness and the small things that outlast their time. My work speaks to collectors who value craftsmanship, subtlety, and the layered storytelling that lives in materials and memory.
